Our Story

Dental Card Services®, dentistry’s trusted provider of credit card processing services, created Tooth Teller® with a straightforward belief: dental practices deserve technology that supports them rather than drains their resources.

Our company began by listening to practices that constantly felt overlooked by large payment companies and software vendors. They wanted transparency, excellent support, and fair pricing. They wanted a partner who understood dentistry, not just another vendor. Tooth Teller became the answer to that need.

Since Dental Card Services’ founding in 2009, dental practices have told us the same story. They wanted access to Dental Card Services’ low-cost merchant services through their existing practice management system.  The challenge was that most practice management systems were closed to third-party providers like DCS. For nearly fifteen years, many software systems offered only a single, exclusive payment option. As a result, there was limited or no competition, and practices were often left with an unfair choice between low-cost stand-alone processing and higher-cost integrated solutions. This led to frustration, unnecessary fees, and a constant sense that practices were being forced into business models that did not benefit them.

Our mission is to help dental practices take back control of their financial workflow and optimize that workflow so they can spend less time struggling with technology, more time serving patients, and lower the overall costs of their software and payment processing solutions. Every practice, whether independent or part of a growing organization, should have access to modern tools without being forced to pay high prices or sign confusing contracts. Dental Card Services built Tooth Teller to change that dynamic and to give practices absolute freedom, real transparency, and real ownership of their financial process.

The vision behind Tooth Teller is rooted in empowering practices. We are building a platform that gives dental teams clarity, speed, and confidence in managing the financial side of their business. Our goal is not to overwhelm teams with more software. It is to make daily work simpler, collections stronger, and decisions more informed. We work every day to remove friction from the business side of dentistry so practices can focus on clinical care and the patient experience.

Our team is a blend of experienced technology professionals with deep dental practice management expertise and people who have spent years working directly with dental practices. We understand how offices operate, how teams communicate, and how vital financial clarity is to long-term success. That experience shapes every decision we make.
